MARIO KART FOR NINTENDO DS
I have always loved Mario Kart and on DS there is no exception. There are 30
courses taken from all the different Mario Karts and some new ones like battling
it out on a Nintendo DS. There are races, battles, and time trials that you can
do and with the Wi-fi option you can play against your friends even if they do
not have a game card.
Worth the Price?
$34.99 = The price is a
little steep; but not really for a video game. This is a classic and with the
Wi-fi option the DS has you can buy one for several kids. This is certainly
worth it.

ATARI MONOPOLY/BOGGLE/YAHTZEE/BATTLESHIP
FOR NINTENDO DS
You guessed it you
get these 4 classic games in one. This game really uses the touch screen
function and there are a few times you might get anger when it doesn’t do quite
what you want. Each game has either several modes (like classic or ultimate
which changes the rules a little) or it has several different levels (like in
Battleship you can choose normal, underwater, or pirate ships), or both options.
Not only are these fun games for kids they are also great for adults, so you
might want to watch out for your parents snatching your DS. The Wi-fi option is
cool for this too so you can compete against friends or family and makes it a
great travel game.
Worth the Price?
$29.99 = First you can’t buy just one of the normal board games for under this,
so that right there makes it worth it. Second PIRATE SHIPS, that right there got
me hooked. This could just bring back family game night with a little bit of
up-date.

ATARI CLASSICS FOR NINTENDO DS
10 classics: Centipede, Pong,
Tempest, Warlords, Missile Command, Breakout, Sprint, Gravitar, Asteroids, Lunar
Lander. Now this is what I’m talking about, these are games I grew up on. Once
again they attempt to use the touch screen to its full ability; but it just
doesn’t come off right. Most of the games you HAVE to use the touch screen and
trust me it is really difficult. There are some glitches where you move the
cursor around but it doesn’t keep up (kind of like a mouse on a computer does
sometimes).
Worth the Price? $29.99 = Not really, the games
are much harder than they should be because of the touch screen. And with all
the plug and plays that are out there now with more games and the controls are
easier I would just stick with that.

SWING GOLF FOR NINTENDO DS
Maybe not a great as the Tiger Woods game and not as fun as the Mario Golf; but
True Swing Golf has it’s own qualities. You must use the stylus to strike the
ball and the farther you slide it the harder you hit it. There are 15 courses
and you must open some of these with your scores. You can play with others
through the Wi-fi feature too.
Worth the Price? $34.99 = This is a little
high. The stylus being used for the swing can give you some problems, one false
twitch and you could be penalized a stroke. Unless you are a huge golf fanatic
and want every game out there I would want for a lower price.

SPIDER-MAN FOR NINTENDO DS
You can play as either Spider Man or Venom which is a great thing to add to any
game. Come on you know that you have always wanted to give a shot at being the
bad guy. Spider Man has some big moves you can pull off and Venom you can use
the touch screen to grab people and things to throw around. Also did I mention
that Venom can feed on people too to regain health. You can also play battle
mode against friends with the Wi-fi.
Worth the Price?
$39.99 = It is better than the Spider Man 2 game and it is a lot of fun.
There can be some glitches in the touch screen and the feeding thing may have
parents a little worried; but it is so much fun. Did I mention that you can be
the bad guy too?

TONY HAWK'S AMERICAN
SKATELAND FOR NINTENDO DS
Take Tony Hawk’s Wasteland,
water it down, make the animation a little more child like, and take out a good
bit of the difficulty and you get Tony Hawk’s Skateland. So with that said it
could be a great game for a younger crowd that found Tony Hawk games to be a
little bit too much of a challenge. However on the other hand for those that
love Tony Hawk games and have played them all to death this will be a slight
disappointment with how quickly you can get through it.
Worth the Price?
$39.99 = An extreme price for not such an extreme game. So unless you had a hard
time with Tony Hawk games before and always wanted to find one you could do
steer clear of this one.
