Red Sox are finally going to the World Series again and those horrid Yankees are going home for the winter.

Random factoid: Red Sox became the first team in history tonight to come back from being down 3 games to none and win it 4 games to 3. And, it's not just the first team in baseball, it is the first team in the history of ALL major sports. good for them :)

random factoid 2: would rather have had the Cubbies or Braves playing the Sox in the World Series but oh well. :)

I would have the Braves on the world series that's for sure but like you said, oh well.

Actually it did happen on Hockey I think it was the Maple Leafs on 74 and the Oilers on 42.

But this is great I couldn't be more happy , the Yankees losing and to Boston it can get any better than that , and in the way it happen , better.

I was listening to the game on the radio(I was working) and when they announced that Pedro was warming up I don't know why but I got a bad feeling about it ,knowing the bad luck on the Red Soxs you couldn't help but think that Pedro was going to choke or something and give away the game like he did last year, but he didn't.
So to end this GO RED SOXS and please win it, it couldn't be a better moment to do it.

yeah, I agree. I got a bad feeling about Pedro, I'm not a fan of his and Lowe had only one hit and one run and he didn't look tired at all. I don't know why they took him out. Supposedly, Pedro asked to be put in, seems kind of selfish to me.

i stand corrected on the "first time in sports history" comment, I did not know and I was going off of memory and the fact that the commentator actually said it last night too. my goof.

I couldn't be more happy to see the bought Yankees be defeated like they were. No offense to the players themselves, but the team itself doesn't deserve a pennant. When there is not salary cap, any team with a rich owner can win a pennant, it makes me sick. The only teams I truly respect are the teams that wo=rked for it like Braves, Red Sox and Cubbies.

oh, it was the 75 Oilers and the 42 Maple Leafs. I stand corrected.

So the question now is, do you think the Sox have a chance to beat the Cardinals...they're pretty good...your thoughts?

I think it would be truly awesome if the Sox can defeat the Cards.

I always think the Red Sox can beat anyone, but I think the series would be more interesting if it was Houston in the finals, since they weren't really expected to do well.

I think I lost an internship with the Braves in part to my love of the Red Sox. After months of phone interviews, I was in the final interview stage and interviewing in person and they asked if I was a Braves fan. Stupid me said, "of course...except when they play against Boston." They thought it was funny, but I didn't get the position...oh well

yeah, I'm a fan of the Braves except when they play the Cubs.

personally, being a Braves fan, I would like to see Houston in the finals because if you are going to get beat by someone, you want it to be a team that can make it to the World Series.

My predictions:
tomorrow's Game 7: Houston 7 STL 4

HOUSTON & BOSTON in the World Series:
Boston win 4 games to 2 (clemons winning the one game for Houston called up to play in game 6 as well but loses)

I haven't had one prediction right on the boards yet but I'll keep going anyway!!

I am not sure what the score is going to be but I think Boston will win over houston in 5 games. I really want to see boston win this one because I want to see what the red sox nation is going to do if they finally win it?

Me too , I was watching on HBO two nights ago "The Course of the Bambino" and one guy said that if the Red Soxs win a lot of old people are going to die(the ones that have been saying that they are not going to die until they see the Red Soxs win a World Series)and he also said that they are going to make the Patriots Super Bowl Party look like sunday brunch.

of course, I was wrong. It's Red Sox and Cards. Red Sox haven't been in the series since 86 and Cards havne't since 87, so it's still two deserving teams. I stay with my prediction for the Sox winning in 6.

Anyone seen the game. I've been away. --- But if there actually was a curse it would probably be on the Yankees not the Sox. Yankees screwed Babe out of a management position.

Well , so far it's looking good for the Red Sox 3-0 against St. Louis , will they win it
4-0 I hope they win it on Fenway Park ,the fans deserve to see it live.
