Ok so I have a really good friend (she told me I can't use her name) of mine that is getting married in a couple of months. (Which means for me a very ugly bridesmaid dress probably in the color pink); But it also means that I get to hear about all the problems that she is having booking places, finding flowers, etc. etc. I never thought about just how much crap goes into planning a wedding. The reason I am posting here about this is because of something that happened this weekend. I sat next to her as she had to decide to change the location of her wedding. She paid a deposit to a place called Luciano's On The Lake in Waleska Georgia in Jan. or Feb. of this year. She and her fiance have emailed the lady in charge about 10-15 different times with questions and what not and only got one response back about some time thing. Now she showed me all her emails and they were packed with questions, one she sent last week. Finally her mom sick of no response emailed saying that they were no longer having the wedding with them and would like their deposit back. No joke a response in like 2 minutes saying that they didn't have to answer back because they wouldn't be ordering anything or setting anything up until 2 days before and a final head count would be needed only 14 days before. My friend has been freaking out over their lack of communication (I have had to hear about it for weeks now) and personally I don't blame her what bride wouldn't be if they weren't hearing back from the people in charge of their wedding. So since my friend was crying and having to figure out something else for her wedding this whole weekend (and I was there trying to help) I wanted to save other people from this problem (also they made my friend cry). So if you are a bride planning a wedding in Georgia DO NOT go to Luciano's On The Lake in Waleska; because if they treat you like my friend you will be in the dark, receive no answers to questions that are important to you, and then made to feel that is normal and offered no refund for their lack of consideration.
