One store I've never had a good experience at is the Wal-Mart store on Thornton Road in Lithia Springs. It almost never has what I want in stock...and whenever I need to ask a question, there is never anyone around to ask. Once, I went to the front to ask to speak to someone in housewares, I waited 15 minutes before I asked again if someone was available...I finally asked to speak to a manager...and it was another 10-15 minutes before someone showed up. When I made my complaint, he apologised, but said that being a new store (they had been open for a good six months by then) there were still adjustments to be made. He did not even ask me what my initial question was!!! Even though the Highway 5 Wal Mart is much further away...I will make the trek there because I would at least like some service

Agreed, most Walmarts are lacking in basic customer service. Packed in cheap goods and crowded aisles, they assume the customer doesn't want or need service. I do have to commend the store south of Birmingham, Al. where I had taken my eyeglasses to the eye department to get fixed (they were afraid to use a magnetic to pull out the broken screw) but two very, nice young guys in hardware took a magnetic and a razor knife and fixed my glasses minus the screw (which once the glasses were ready for the screw, the eye department finally did help me).
Most Walmarts are so crowded, so full of stock waiting to be unpacked, and workers who think that you are bothering them that I am always reminded to buy birth control whenever I shop at Walmart. With the exception of the Birmingham visit, most of my shopping trips are never hazzle-free but they do carry cheap goods and a good variety so they have us in the plams of their hands. The only way to fight back is to NOT shop at Walmart.

LoL! That is so true about Wal-Mart. Have you notices that there are always like 60 registers yet there are always only like 4 open(what my boss calls the 'wal-mart syndrome') Also once when walking through the the toy department, my girlfriend and myself were told by one of the associates "Don't mess nothing up, (lowered voice) can't stand all these kids messing shit up" I said nothing to her but the thought of knocking over an entire display of dolls just to get piss her off did cross my mind a few HUNDRED times. :D Overall Wal-Mart has alot of good stuff and alot of variety yet the mass cut backs on the number of employees is very evident and the customer service SUCKS!

I went to the Wal-Mart in Canton the other day and had a craving for strawberries. But the strawberries weren't in a fridge or anything just setting out and all (by all I mean like 100 plastic containers) the strawberries had mold on them. So I stood in line at the customer counter for 1/2 an hour to let them know and all I got was we will tell someone. I was back several days later and the moldy strawberries were still there. So just be sure you check your fruit well before buying it.

The walmart in Canton always has bad things...I stoped going there with my grandmother and drive her to the one in Towne Lake when we she wants to go to walmart. If it's just me I try to avoid walmarts in general, all of them.
