Here is what I did today.
I went to Knoxville TN to another convention but this time it was inside, which made things better and about a third of the people was there that was at Dukes Fest. The first thing we did was head to the lines. I got the autograph of Kenny Baker, he's the one that plays R2-D2. He is small and didn't seem too happy about being there but I got what I wanted.
From his I got in Robert Englund line. He was pretty cool with everyone. He was letting us get a pic as he signed the stuff and did different things as he did. Like one guy he did that tongue thing of his that he does as Freddy and one guy he drew a face. I had a poster I got from the screening of Jason vs. Freddy that I got and he signed it sleep kills. The thing that got me was his hand. I shook it and I got to tell you for a guy that plays a whacko he had the softest hand I've ever felt. It's not I was expecting him to have this rough manly man kind of hand but I didn't figure he would have one that's even softer than a girls.
The people there was Robert Englund, Kenny Baker, Lou Ferigno( and that dude is just huge, I was watching him sign things and thought he had big arms but then this one guy that was pretty big himself and you could tell right off that he lifts weights asked if he could get a pic of them flexing together, when Lou walked up and flexed his arms it was like a basketball had all of a sudden been put under his skin, I was then afraid to take a pic cause maybe the flash would freak him out and he would come running out and beat me into a little white pile of nothing).
John Rhys Davies was there, he's the guy that played Gimly in Lord of the Rings and was on Sliders as the Professor and in Indiana Jones, he's the bearded guy. Adam West was also there but I didn't have the money to get something of his, he was too expensive for my taste and my wallet. But that's about it for the stars. I only got R2 and Freddy's autograph but I really like the Freddy one. Now all I got to do is figure out a way to get the guy that played Jason to sign it.
Some of the people from the 501'st was there. I got some pics of them and got one with me standing next to Boba Fett. I also got some stickers for my car, which are Boba Fetts head, his symbol that's on his chest, the skull on his shoulder, and the Superman S. I also got 2 Harley Quinn figures and then walked around for about an hour seeing the things that I would love to have but just didn't have the cash for.
At any rate, that was my day, driving from 5am till 10am, standing in lines and walking around from then until 2pm and then driving again from 2 till little after 7. Now it's time for food. When I get the pics I'll post a few so all can see.
