i think something that would be good is like a "what do you think" for all the movies that open ... bc on the chance you dont see a movie right when it opens and wanna know whether you should go see it if you have any doubts ... everyone on here is pretty proficient in movies, so we could trust each other's opinions

I didn't even know shakefire had message boards at first. I only discovered them when I found out you had to register and participate to get tickets to movie screenings. Now my friend and I are on the boards.

I'm new to the message boards also. I found out about Shakefire but didn't really know about your message boards until I had to register in order to sign up for passes for screenings. At least that seems to be working to get people to register and check them out. As I finish checking out all the different topics and threads I'll let you know if I have any suggestions for new topics.

Hi I'm a newbe! I have thoroughly enjoyed this site and reading everyone's reviews. Went to the Cinderella Story screening, and enjoyed the movie. Nice modern twist on the old story, not over the top, reminded me of some of those Brat Pack movies of the 80's. Still learning how to get around here. I like the way the site is laid out, not to many topics. ;)

Yes, I did get them thru the WB. I really, REALLY wanted to see this movie, so I'm TICKLED I was able to get these passes!

My Ma Ma, said, "you can always make new friends with food". So feed us with Movies. Then have a one on one conversation with each menber at the movie. That way you know exactly what each person needs.

go to your profile and go to the Avatars section. you can put one of the list from Shakefire or you can put whatever picture you want as long as it a 50x50 pixels or less :D

i think you can only have a custom avatar if you've posted 25 or 50 posts. something like that. but you can choose one from the list until then.

Hi Pandora. I try so hard to figure this all out but it is overwhelming. Too much going on. I know once i get the hang of it ... but till then, any advice?

if you want to talk about a movie you watched, first, go to the search (http://www.shakefire.com/boards/search.php?) and search for the movie you want to talk about.
if there's a topic (topic and thread are the same) about that movie already in the "Talk about Movies" forum, then post your comment there ('Post Reply' button), if there isnt a topic/thread in the Talk about Movies forum, then create a new topic/thread ('New Thread' button).

remember, the idea is to always SEARCH first.

I Think It's The Feeling Of Belonging, Or Knowing What's Going On, Or Waht To Talk About, And Not Feeling Out Of Place, And Sounding Dumb, Or Stupid. Butting In On People Conversations. Because A Lot Of Post Are Adressed To Some One Or Another.

Hey Pandora . . . new member here! I find it a little difficult to navigate the site, but that could just be my lack of familiarity. Maybe an email reminder when new screenings are posted could help some of us newbies remember to come out and check out the site and participate more? Just a thought!
