so i dont know if any of you saw House of 1,000 Corpses ... but i did. It's one of my friends favorite movies and she has it on DVD, and i remember reading so much about it, so i watched it. I'm sorry, but NO. What a DUUUMB movie. I was very disappointed bc of its critical acclaim, it certainly did not hold up. It was part a rip-off of Texas Chainsaw Massacre and part stupid. Anyways, the sequel is just finishing the casting process.....
House of 2,000 Corpses, now titled "The Devil's Rejects" has snagged Natasha Lyonne and Rosario Dawson. I really like both of them, so maybe there's a chance this second one will be decent

I liked the first one, but then again I hadn't heard anything about it before I saw it. I hope the second one is good. The first made me cringe in certain areas and I loved it. Rob Zombie has such a twisted mind. I know the first had similarities to Texas Chainsaw but I saw it more as a honor thing. But it is up to the viewer point of view. :D

i actually liked the first one and I'm really looking forward to the sequel (actually titled "House of 1,000 Corpses: The Devil's Rejects" not just Devil's Rejects). Rob Zombie was originally attached to do the third Crow movie titled "The Crow 2037: The World Of Gods and Monsters" and I thought it would have saved the movie, but he opted out of that in favor of this, probably a good choice, it's never good to do a sequel as your debut.
anyway, my point is, I thought the movie was great. It had not-so-subtleties of the great 70's horror flicks. I thought it one-upped the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre as I thought that movie kinda sucked. I think people tend to overrate older movies just based on the fact that they were old and didn't have much to work with. People tend to think 'Who cares if the storyline is boring and the acting sucks? It's an original!" So was Gigli and Swept Away. The reason for having a first of something is so you can continue to improve on it, which is what Zombie did. Texas Chainsaw Massacre is like a Big Mac and House of 1,000 Corpses is like the double Big Mac...with bacon.
i know that was bad.

Ive seen Ho1000C 3 times already and I hate it more evrytime I see it. it's so stupid it hurts.
I read so much good stuff about it before it came out so when it did I searched for a cinema and (luckily as it was released in only a few places) found one. and it was a total dissapointment.
and I know that everybody complains about it already, but WTF was that scene when the guy is going to blow an police officer's head off and the camera zooms out and high and like 15 seconds later he shoots  :( what a disaster
