THIS IDEA IS FOR A NEW EDGE COMEDY MOVIE.IT IS A FUN,SLIGHTLY TWISTED ,BUT REALISTIC HAPPY MOVIE.ITS A BOSTON BASED MOVIE ,INVOLVING TWO LEADS,WHO ARE DIE HARD SOX FANS. IN WAKE OF THE WORLD SERIES VICTORY ,THESE GUYS CANT GET TICKETS NOW TO SAVE THERE LIVES.SO AFTER EXHAUSTING ALL EFFORTS THEY FORM A PLAN.THEY WILL POSE AS MENTALLY\PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED FANS,TO GAIN AN EDGE ON TICKET OPENINGS.IT WORKS.THEY GAIN ENTRY DUE TO SYMPATHETIC SCALPERS.AFTER THERE INSIDE SOMETHING HAPPENS,A FOUL BALL HITS ONE OF THEM.CROWD GOES SILENT.PIN DROP CAN BE HEARD. AFTER A FEW MOMENTS HES O.K. BUT AFTER THE GAME MEDIA STEPS IN FOR AN INTERVIEW.AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF THE INTERVIEW AMERICA FALLS IN LOVE WITH THEM.TALK SHOWS,SPORTS HIGHLIGHTS,AND NATIONAL SYMPATHY ENSUES.THERE OFFERED GREAT TICKETS FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE SEASON,INCLUDING THERE OWN TAKE ON EACH GAME ON COMPLETION. AMERICA IS REALLY HOOKED ON THESE GUYS NOW.AFTER ONE GAME THEY ARE OUT ON THE TOWN (STILL IN CARACTER). THEY MEET TWO BEAUTIFUL WOMEN WHO ALREADY LOVE THEM WITH THE REST OF AMERICA.AFTER A FEW TWISTS AND TURNS THEY FALL IN LOVE TO.BY THE END THEY HAVE TO COME CLEAN,NOT ONLY TO THE GIRLS,BUT THE WORLD.STUNNED AND SHOCKED AMERICA HAS TO DECIDE TO FORGIVE OR FOREVER HATE THESE LOVEABLE BUT INNOCENTLY DISHONEST PAIR.THEY DO GAIN FORGIVENESS AND KEEP THE LOVES OF THERE LIVES.IN MY MIND OWEN WILSON AND JACK BLACK WOULD BE MORE THAN PERFECT FOR THE LEADS.IN CONCLUSION THIS WOULD BE A COMEDY,WITH UNPREDICTABLE TWISTS AND TURNS,WITH A SOLID HEART WARMING ENDING MESSAGE. byEVAN WITTMER

I think it could work. And Farrelly Brothers woudl be right since it sounds like a mix between The Ringer and Fever Pitch, which are both theirs.

The cable channel "FX" is having a contest and you can pitch your ideas for a sitcom. I think you could pitch this as a show similar to "24" or "Prison Break".
These 2 challenged people try to get into the game and each episode is about the struggle of living a LIE and trying to get into the game with fun results. I think the casting might be less spectacular than Owen Wilson and Jack Black. The negative publicity a show like this would generate would attract a viewership.

yes, I pitched a show about an alcoholic grandfather/ex con (named Rudy) and his adventures with an animated goat named Swax and a humanoid robot named Ike. It's a serious drama about racism and the harsh reality of working at a supermarket. The show is called The Perilous Adventures of Rudy & Swax & Their Humanoid Robot Named Ike (or "TPAORASTHRNI" as I think fans will shorten it to.) Or, they can simply call it The Sports Show With Ron McEver to throw people off the mysterious mythology that the show will surely create.
