I will be the first person to tell you that I like rap--though not necessarily gangster rap. I grew up with the friendly rap of Sugar Hill and Doug E. Fresh--and much of the 'gangsta' stuff of the '90's lost me.

Tupac was an exception....and this movie shows a glimpse why. I saw this at a screening last summer when it came out-and I was impressed. I learned a lot about someone who I admit I had some preconceptions about. This movie doesnt make him appear to be perfect or a saint--on the contrary it does show some of his flaws rather plainly. It also showed his creative side and why his poetry and music is popular today.

If some of you can support the Osbornes, Kurt Corbain, Jim Morrison because they are entertaining and have a message---take a chance and check out this movie out as well and possibly learn something new as well.
