reports are saying that John Kerry will announce a running-mate next week. The top runners are Sen. John Edwards and (eek) Gephardt. Personally, I hope it's Edwards. now that's not biased reporting is it!

but, the biggest thing about this is not that Kerry will be picking a running mate but that it is going to force Bush to announce either a new running mate early or that he is sticking with Cheney. If he doesn't announce anything in the next 2 weeks, I think that he is going to get killed by Kerry in the polls and, depending on how long he waits, that could severely cripple Bush's chances at re-election since the polls are so close right now (I think last polls showed them neck and neck - Kerry 51% and Bush 47%, I THINK, someone could confirm or deny that for me if they want).

anyway, just a little news.

Hillary has said several times she is not going to run for anything this year-in part because she wants to complete her 'service' to NY. Also realistically, it is smarter to wait until 2008 to do anything. As far as Edwards/Gephardt for VP--Gephardt more qualified to be VP-but Edwards is more interesting. Hopefully whoever he chooses-ALL the DIRT has been revealed to Kerry because the Republicans will find some if any--that is how ugly this contest is going to be.

I think Edwards was a good choice for Kerry - He's exceptionally personable - and I don't see him telling anyone to "go f... yourself" anytime soon. ;)

Hoping we can get Bush out of office soon.
