reports are saying that John Kerry will announce a running-mate next week. The top runners are Sen. John Edwards and (eek) Gephardt. Personally, I hope it's Edwards. now that's not biased reporting is it!
but, the biggest thing about this is not that Kerry will be picking a running mate but that it is going to force Bush to announce either a new running mate early or that he is sticking with Cheney. If he doesn't announce anything in the next 2 weeks, I think that he is going to get killed by Kerry in the polls and, depending on how long he waits, that could severely cripple Bush's chances at re-election since the polls are so close right now (I think last polls showed them neck and neck - Kerry 51% and Bush 47%, I THINK, someone could confirm or deny that for me if they want).
