TV MOVIE: THE REAGANS

VARIETY SERIES: CHAPELLE'S SHOW

VARIETY SPECIAL: CHRIS ROCK : NEVER SCARED

REALITY PROGRAM : QUEER EYE FOR THE STRAIGHT GUY

REALITY COMPETITION PROGRAM: AMERICAN IDOL or THE APPRENTICE

As far as Scrubs, yeah it was gypped--but that NBC 's fault--it sacrificed the show to pump up THE APPRENTICE. If it had been nominated for best comedy, it would have gotten my vote.

I think the Emmys this year will be both safe and take some chances with its wins such as giving either CSI or Joan of Arcadia best drama versus the much hyped Sopranos--but conversly at least one of the two leads of the Sopranos will win. I think visiblity will be the deciding factor for the reality shows and frankly QUEER EYE and AMERICAN IDOL are the most known--although THE APPRENTICE is still in there. Will the EMMYS give CHAPPELLE'S SHOW a well deserved prize or go with the 'safe' series? This will be a 'wait and see' in September.

actually, I checked the full list and Scrubs got 2 noms: one for music and the other one for Writing (one of the most important in the non-acting categories) for the episode "My Screwup" in which Brendan Fraser appears. that was a really good episode :)

Are you sure that is this year's list. It sure sounds like last year.

It's definitely last year's list.

Here's a quote from a story I found. I'm still looking for the full list.

ABC's show is competing in a field that includes last year's winner, the quirky "Arrested Development," and "Will & Grace," which matched "Desperate Housewives" with its 15 nominations Thursday.

Also named in the category were "Scrubs" and "Everybody Loves Raymond," which wrapped after nine seasons and received a hearty farewell of 13 bids.
