A while back we posted that we need your help in naming our back to school "digital festival". The staff at Shakefire and Sony put in their votes for which title they liked the best out of all the suggestions people entered. The winner of the contest is Manicmyk with his suggestion of "Where My Lunch Money Goes". Congrats!! Please email peter@shakefire.com with your mailing address for you prize.

What a cool name. I drew a blank and couldn't come up with anything worth submitting, just stupid or corny stuff. :o :) Congrats to Manicmyk! :D Way to go!

interesting. great choice for the name.

this is totally unrelated, but what exactly makes those "street" headphones?

is this another marketing ploy for urban america?

Belated congrats to Manicmyk!

And a question... I entered the contest shortly after it became official, even got a dozen or so others to enter under my referral link. The contest was due to end on the 5th, but I don't see anything indicating it's over, who won, or anything. Not exactly the best way (IMO of course) to get people coming back for contests when there's no disclosure once a contest is over...

I know, the winners probably all got e-mails and phone calls letting them know what was going on, but it leaves the rest of us blowing in the wind. What's the scoop?

First I looked up the contest and I think you are referring to a different contest. The naming contest was only on the message board and you had to post your ideas under that thread. Your name is not on any of the posts and also it states you just joined today, this contest was months ago. Also per our contest rules it states you have to be a member of our boards to be eligible. This link that you just posted in is us NAMING the winner and notifying the contest is OVER. We have explained under other posts before why we normally do not name the winners. For contests held online you have to offer the option of anonymity, almost every single one of our winners choose this. Therefore legally we can not name our winners. The contest ending date is listed in each contest and we pull a winner the next Friday. There are at times hundreds of contests ending a day and it is not feasible to send emails to the 1,000-100,000 or more entries we have for each contest. We do try to answer any questions people post on the boards and notify people of things ending when we can. Hope this answers your questions, and we hope that it isn't only the contest that bring you here.
