im sure everyone knows the video game of Castelvania..i think its just about on every console in America...
great game...but..
Better MOVIE!!!
basically about a half man half vampire named Alucard only son of Dracula (Alucard spelled backwards is Dracula)
i guess it resembles Blade in a way but...i think a Castelvania movie would blow a Blade movie away!!

There is a Castlevania movie in the making. Chances are it will be axed, hopefully, otherwise we might end up with Van Helsing 2. I highly doubt Castlevania will be as good as any of the Blade films. Even Trinity, which I thought was the least Blade like, was good.

Yea, I was never a fan of the Castlevania series. Blade was amazing (the first one). Then it just went downhill from there. Still good but just not good enough.

I really think Castelvania could make a good movie besides the fact that you disliked the Castelvania series, Majiesto. The first Blade was good just because of the fact that its introducing a hero -like most hero based movies are. However, I really hated the end where Blade sticks the blue stuff in the guys face and u see him blow up like a water balloon filled with red paint...stupid...

How would you have ended it? I can admit that some films are just shite in the end. Take for example Superman III. Its great untill the computer sucks in the woman and she turns into a robot or whatever the hell she turns into. The whole superman vs. Clark Kent scenes were awesome and the story had some weight in comparison to the others which seemed very paint by number. Blade was really rough because it was the first film and the fact that Stephen Dorff was and always will be a never has been that kind of hurt the film, plus when they throw Tracy Lords in anything just for the hell of it you know that the director isn't as series about what he's doing as you'd like them to be. All in al it was revolutionary as far as comic book films go. Aside from the fact that I am a huge Guillermo Del Toro fan I thought the second film was awesome. It had just a taste of everything I'm into. You had Ron Perlman (of course), Donny Yen, Snipes oozing Blade, tossing in Norman Reedus who always seems to play his parts well was a smart move. I didn't care for Trinity that much because it seemed to fall into that catagory where the casting sucked, the dialogue was Tarantino-esque (the use of foul language as conjunctions to every other line) which pretty much meant that there just wasn't enough there to be said and even less substance. Still, if castlevania does come to be I hope they do not simply make it a mockery of the lesser films in its genre.

I dont know how I would have ended it. The fact is, I didn't like the end. Everything else was cool. BTW i love Tarantino's movies, and in no way did Blade Trinity remind me of his work. I disapproved of that movie. I agree that the first and second were better by far.
If Castelvania turns out to be like Van Helsing imma be pissed.

Ahh man I just saw who is attached as director. I wont keep my hopes up. I thought the Resident Evil movies blew and from the look of his resume he makes mediocre films that either find two seconds of limelight before people come to their senses or nobody has ever seen them. There is still time maybe someone will take over for him.

there's so many stories (belmonts or other family) they could follow but i'm sure they'd still make a lot of money

the guy that directed the resident evils is directing Castlevania? his style in those movies would fit castlevania pretty well, in my opinion. Van Helsing was too "light" (i mean, it had too much light in the scenes in general), and the resident evils are dark and on the seat of your chair in some parts. i think that could work. but like breezie said, it depends on which story they use.

I think that no matter which story they use, the actual chain of events in the story is going to matter the most. There was not much dialogue in the games, basically it was all action, and we all know how video game movies without dialogue turn out don't we (Super Mario Brothers, Double Dragon, Im looking at you!). Personally I think it could be an awesome movie, the hardest part is just going to be finding an actor who can take on a proper apperance and set of mannerisms that define the character versus how and what they say. With the director from RE doing it, the action scenes should be over the top and awesome (depending on funding). I have high hopes, but at the same time know it is based on a video game :(

Don't take that attitude!! i agree with you on most accounts, but Video Game movies should have better reputations, just like comic book movies! with better and more faithful adaptations coming to the big screen, maybe v.g. movies will be better received?
