well, i read alot of non-fiction so label me a geek. i blame my overactive imagination on my inablility to read other people's stories.

anyway. i just read "Lost Boys; Why Our Sons Turn Violent, and What We Can Do To Save Them."

it was an interesting read to say the least and the cover will stir up conversation with even the dullest person.

there's no good way to talk about a non-fiction book, but if you're into psych and young angry males... go for it.

If you like non fiction you might be interested in "Our Fathers". It is about the corruption (molesting) in the Catholic Church and it's research dates from the 1940's (?) to present. At times it reads like a stereo manual but over all it is very informative, and shocking.

i've read a couple biographies and autobiographies.

they're interesting but they main character usually dies in the end and it makes me :(

which do you suggest?

i know it sounds boring, but the new biography of Thomas Jefferson is fascinating.

check out Down by the River by Charles Bowden.

an excellent look at drug trafficking in the US, inspired by a 1995 murder of a DEA agent by a 13 year-old mexican boy.
