i posted the on the last board but it was erased. Any one care about these shows possibly being cancelled or is ther good reason for it happening?

(This is all from a confirmed source at the networks, but could always change):

Married to the Kellys
I'm With Her
It's All Relative
Hack
The District
Arrested Development
Whoopi OR Happy Family (one will be cancelled, most likely NOT both)
Star Trek Enterprise (the first time a Trek series has been cancelled instead of ending on it's own)
Like Family
All About the Andersons
Run of the House

and on their way to cancellation:
Cracking Up
Game Over
The Big House
The Stones
Significant Others
The Help
We are the 80's
Chappelle's Show
CMT Crossroads
Animal Precinct
Countdown With Keith Obermanm
Oliver's Twist
So Graham Norton
Design on a Dime

any thoughts?

What the hell? I thought Fox had picked up Arrested Development for a second season. Please tell me that's a mistake.

That's the best written show on television, and it's garnered some decent ratings!

yeah, I read yesterday that it was picked up for season 2.

and Fox cancelled Wonderfalls. I watched the first episode and it looked crazy good.

yeah, Wonderfalls was billed by every critic to be the best new show this season. it got RAVE reviews (without the pacifiers and free water)

and they dropped it after 4 episodes... not even a full season.

they have all the episodes shot and canned already though.. so maybe someone will buy it and show the entire season or sell it on DVD.

Reality TV is killing decent shows. Dont watch Reality TV.

...doesn't mean it won't be killed. moved to say, the Friday night death spot?

from TV Guide:

"Arrested Development is long on critical acclaim but short on viewers. The quirky comedy desperately needs a lasting boost from Juliia-Louis Dreyfus March guest shots and recent post-American Idol airings. But Fox will have lots of holes on its schedule, so there's hope. 'I Think it deserves another chance,' says Sternberg."

just remember: Critical acclaim and awards don't mean jack to networks. Look at Homicide (winner of 11 Emmys), Sports Night (winner of 3 Emmys) and Once & Again (winner of 4 Emmys) all canned for lack of viewers to make room for reality shows. of course, they all happened to be on the Disney network ABC.

I think there should just be one reality network with all the reality shows and leave regular TV to itself.

Wonderfalls will be released in its entirety (17 episodes, I believe) on DVD. No talk of syndication yet and Fox will likely not sell the rights to WB or UPN (the only conceiveable networks that would want a cancelled show).

Fox is good about releasing their entire catalog of show son DVD, so I would look for it by the end of the year.
