Re: The Blind Side (SF Screening #501)
I thought this movie was incredible! There were several moments that were especially touching to me! I agree that Sandra Bullock did a splendid job! I also loved SJ the young son in the movie...his energy was awesome!

Re: The Blind Side (SF Screening #501)
Thanks for the passes to this movie. We thought it was great. It was especially exciting to spot Quentin Aaron (who stars as Michael Oher) in the audience.

Re: The Blind Side (SF Screening #501)
Our screening hasn't even taken place yet, sorry I think you are thanking the wrong outlet.
Only reason I am making this post is so that others do not think the dates were mixed up. The one in your email is right everyone, please do not email or post asking. As of this time Nov. 11th, 2009 you have not missed the screening.

Re: The Blind Side (SF Screening #501)
Thanks for the pass. I love inspirational sports movies and Sandra Bullock, so it's win-win. Shakefire is the best!

Re: The Blind Side (SF Screening #501)
I didn't get a pass, so I'll be watching the last minute forum. I told a friend about Shakefire though, and she did get a pass, so if there are no last minute ones, I can hopefully go with her, since I really want to see this one.

I remember watching the 2009 NFL Draft when Michael Oher was drafted and the analysts touched on his story, the first thing I thought was "this could be a movie". He seemed so humble when they were talking to him and to see his adoptive family up there with him was a great sight. I will definitely check this movie out. Many blessings to Michael and family!

Re: The Blind Side (SF Screening #501)
I got to see the preview with a friend and LOVED it!!! The writers obviously had a lot of fun (I've never laughed so loud or so long at a movie before...but one of those scrimmage practice plays really got to me) with a true and touching story (although I'm sure that lots of artistic license was taken....so much fun stuff in it). I thought the acting was very good. The actor who played SJ radiated the unpent-up energy of youth. Sandra did great as the mother, and I enjoyed Tim McGraw although his part seemed more of a sidekick for the humor. (Wonder how the Sean was in RL and how much teasing he'll get over the version on screen?) Totally enjoyed it and have been telling all of my friends that it's a MUST SEE.

Even though I didn't get passes through Shakefire, I was fortunate to get passes from another soure so I could see the screening in Raleigh on 11/16. The movie was wonderful especially since I am a big football fan. It was sad to see how Michael grew up, but it was great that a loving family brought him into their home and helped him succeed. Sandra Bullock did a great job, as well as the boy who played SJ. It was also cool to see the various college coaches.
Overall, a great movie and a must see! ![]() |
