Movies Barnyard: The Original Party Animals (Official Thread)

BARNYARD
2006

From Steve Oedekerk and Nickelodeon Movies, creators of “Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius,” comes this entirely-CGI animation, hilarious look at what really happens in a barnyard when the farmer’s back is turned. “Barnyard” is a lighthearted tale centering around Otis (voiced by Kevin James), a carefree party cow, who enjoys singing, dancing and playing tricks on humans. Unlike his father Ben (voiced by Sam Elliott), the respected patriarch of the farm, and Miles, the wise old mule (voiced by Danny Glover), Otis is unconcerned about keeping the animals’ humanlike talents a secret. But when suddenly put in the position of responsibility, the “udderly” irresponsible cow finds the courage to be a leader..

The official Teaser site is now up at http://www.BarnyardMovie.com

Here is the poster for the film – please share with your users (and encourage them to carefully observe cow-crossing signs):

The trailer can be found exclusively on Nick.com at http://www.nick.com/all_nick/turboni...?videoid=24922
I highly suggest that you watch it so that you, too, can know the dangers of cow-tipping.

There is much more Barnyard fun to be had, so stay tuned. And remember…

What Happens in the Barn, Stays in the Barn.

Udders are hysterically disturbing things - not really an outdoorsy kind of gal but I wasn't aware that boy cows had udders, do they? - no I am not a blond either, just a city girl who is lactose intolerant & steers clear of milk, now I have another reason to avoid it!

Re: Barnyard (SF Screening #205)

Just got back to. I just have to say this. The first half of the film (maybe more) was so boring, and the complete lack of response from 95% of the audience will back me up. The ending was really good but hardly worth the long wait. I would even consider this a bad rental. Nickelodeon needs to wake up and realize the only good cartoon film they ever put out was Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius.

I am with you garcia5.... I just hated this movie from start to finish. I thought some of the content in the movie would open up questions for young children. Little, little children couldn't even sit still through the movie, let alone pick up on the dialogue. I heard cries and a lot of movement. Now, the little girl next to me laughed about at everything - even when there was a bee in pig's nose? Really? Anyways, I felt this was quality made for TV. I think there are so many other quality movies to show your kids. Don't underestimate children, they are smart. Have them watch "The Incredibles" for a good animated movie.

Re: Barnyard: The Original Party Animals (Official Thread)

All cartoons are not intended for children. I enjoyed the movie. The theme was grown up. I laughed quite a bit. The Rooster's routine was hilarious. When they knocked out the Farmer, I was dying. My son and his friend age 10 & 11 throughly enjoyed this movie. There were plenty of gems is this one but it was lost in the noise and on the very young.
