Producers Joseph Barbera and William Hanna (THE FLINTSTONES, JONNY QUEST) struck gold once again when THE JETSONS appeared on national television in 1962. Set in the future, the animated sitcom chronicles the adventures of George, Jane, Judy, and Elroy Jetson. Although they drive in flying cars and have fully functional robots, the Jetsons still suffer the everyday troubles that plague modern families. While George has to put up with the his mean-spirited boss at Spaceley’s Sprockets, the kids suffer the usual teenage woes, albeit with a space-aged spin.
