In case you didn't know, Warner Bros. golden child of 2008, The Dark Knight, was released on DVD and Blu-Ray on Tuesday. We all knew sales were going to be off the charts, after all, the film set multiple records in theaters and is the second highest grossing film of all time (Why Titanic, why). Sales are in the estimated 3 million range for launch day, with 600,000 of those going towards Blu-ray. To put that into perspective, Iron Man sold 500,000 Blu-ray copies during it's first week! TDK is looking to push past the 1 million mark according to Ron Sanders, president of Warner Home Video.Things are looking up for Blu-Ray and TDK is definitely helping push things forward. I guess this puts a nice foothold on Blu-Ray sticking around, so happy to hear this. This is easily one of the best quality BDs I have seen.

man oh man...anybody got an extra $400 lying around? hehe.
i cannot wait to see this in Blu-Ray...but it might be a while until I can afford the gear to play it.
