12 Monkeys

In last weeks episode Cole and Cassandra may have finally found the source of the plague virus but at a cost. Cassandra is kidnapped and Cole finds that his actions in the past will have grave consequences for his world in the future. So much so that what Cole comes home to is something far different from when he left. The only surefire cure is to go back in time and correct a mistake that will undo what’s been done. He can’t do it alone though and must find help from one of the most unlikely of places. 

 

Six episodes in and I believe this is where it begins for me. None of the other episodes have come this close to supplying an episode that manages to utilize all aspects of the story and come around full circle. You get the time travel aspect utilized, the importance of Cole and Cassandra’s bond (including side characters), a full on fleshing out of the villains and a coherent storyline from start to finish. If you’re anything like me, waiting for the show to reach full potential, this is it.
