There are people that argue whether or not Armageddon or Deep Impact was the better movie.   The movies have a considerable amount in common.  They both deal with asteroids hellbent on destroying mankind, they were both released within a month of eachother in 1998 and they are both filled with a lot of cheese.  Many think that Deep Impact was a massive failure and Armageddon blue it away at the box office.  While internationally, Armageddon beat out Deep Impact by over $150 million, domestically Armageddon made $200 million and Deep Impact still made a healthy $140 million.  Regardless, longevity is where it counts and Armageddon has clearly stood the test of time, likely due to the fact that it star Bruce Willis and is a Bruckheimer produced film rather than starring Robert Duvall and being some produced by some guy named Spielberg.  But, I digress.

Not the greatest, even for a 12 year old movie, but it's not bad either.  There are clear signs of age throughout the movie but the sounds is seemingly lossless.

Music video for Aerosmith, trailer...umm, trailer.

I'm not sure why this isn't the Criterion edition that was already released on DVD, perhaps Disney didn't feel like sharing more money with them or, perhaps, they will release that again in the future for more money.  Regardless, the bonus features leave a lot to be desired.  The quality leaves a little to be desired but the movie is still entertaining after all these years, just don't put too much thought into it.
