It's the series premiere of a new reality police show called Marshal Law Texas that follows the elite Gulf Cost Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force. It's a group effort with different law departments that include the U.S. Marshals, Houston Police Department, and other law enforcements. These officers have the duty of finding the most wanted criminals while also getting any other criminal that they can in an effort to keep them off the streets.
Some reality shows just can't change no matter who is in the show. In the case of Marshal Law Texas, it's a show that is nothing new or different that I and many others have seen before. It's a cop show where the law goes after the criminals, they do the typical talking about the criminal, showing the cops getting ready for their search, driving around, and going after the criminals on foot and in the cars. In the first two episodes not much is different other than the criminals that they go after. Both epsiodes, The Hunt Begins episode 1 and Terror in the Burbs, episode 2, the format shows the officers talking about the people they are hunting down, then showing them going after them, and by the end they have caught them.
If you like this kind of cop reality show then Marshal Law Texas will be entertaining because it shows what people like in these kinds of shows. There's the action with the hunt for the criminals, the officers talking as they go looking for the criminals, and the excitement of the officers taking down the criminal. However, I just couldn't really get into the show because it's nothing new for this kind of show. This is a show that highlights what these officers did with certain cases and criminals as they go looking for them but it just wasn't that interesting. I'm not really sure what I was supposed to get out of this show, was I supposed to be entertained by the officers taking down the criminal or was I supposed to be informed on how the officers find the criminals? What I do know is that this show allows the  voyeur in people that want to see what the police is doing without being part of it or in the middle of it, nothing more nothing less. If that's what you are looking for then this is the show for you, for me however, the show was just an hour of watching what I can see on the daily news.
