NYC a.k.a. New York Connection by Sweet is an awesome album.  It seems like the album is dated but that's what I like about it.  The reinvention of the 80's power ballad and they did a good job.  Anyone is  a lover of the genre, would love this album.  A great listen for a long trip and you need something interesting to listen to.  There are a couple of covers that you should know.  You Spin Me Round which was originally recorded by Dead or Alive in 1984 is definitely a classic and they did the song justice.

Now, I did a 'background check' on the group Sweet and their dated sound is warranted.  They started out in the 1970's so they are stuck in the music scene of that time between the 70's and 80's.  But I have to reiterate, that's usually an issue with music but they create great music, so they get a pass.  Sweet has also had the time and experience to keep this album a professional success since this is their 25th album.  Yes, 25th!  You should listen to this album if you are into Rock and you want to hear some good music.
