Shortly after the Civil War a southern girl Elizabeth Lloyd marries a Yankee.  Her Confederate father will have none of that and refuses to speak to his daughter. But a few years later Elizabeth’s young daughter meets up with her grandfather and does her best to charm an old man.

This is a sweet cute film; but is there any other that stars Shirley Temple? You have your choice of watching it in either color or restored black and white. You also get a treat to see Bill “Bojangles” Robinson teach Shirley how to tap dance. This is a nice DVD for any Shirley Temple fan to add to their collection.
