Former drummer of Coheed & Cambria, and formed drug addict, Josh Eppard hits the streets with his second effort of hip-hop & rap music under the moniker of Weerd Science, Sick Kids.  Partially recorded during the time he was struggling with his addictions, Sick Kids is...  Well, it’s rap is what it is.  Not exactly my favorite genre.

The album is filled with thumping beats, scratching and rhyming lyrics.  But with songs about drugs (either being on them or getting off them), being crazy, getting the clap, gang violence and hating people.  And while listening through it didn’t make me a fan, I can see the appeal it might have to fans of similar music.  The production values are also quite good.

Maybe it’s for you.  Maybe it isn’t.  It isn’t particularly in my wheelhouse, but I can bob my head to the beat just the same.

ANOTHER TAKE:
"I’m just completely blown away by this entire album and highly suggest it to hip hop fans. A+"
