"Wind Blast" can be classified as a Chinese Western. There is a lot of action, but gets very confusing very easily. The music was great and the movie starts off with lots of great scenic shots, but fizzles shortly thereafter in this 2 hour long movie. The picture quality was sharp and the sound was amazing, but other than the extras, which included a trailer and several featurettes, there was not much else to brag about.

This movie was full of things that were used in excess, but some aspects can be appreciated. The chase scenes, fights scenes, and bullet time used were cool to watch the first couple of times, but happened so often in the movie that I got tired of it all pretty quickly. There were lots of scenes that could have been left out and some things that did not make any sense at all. For instance, who would dare wear a fur coat in the desert or who would really win in a race between a horse and a jeep? Lastly, it took me a while to figure out what the story was really about. If you just want to watch a movie with lots of action and could care less about the main plot, this is the movie for you. However, for everyone else, I do not recommend this movie. For those reasons, I am giving this movie a "D+."
