His anger is focused on a boy a couple of years older than him named Turner. It only takes a couple of pages for the author to draw you into the story; I was feeling empathy and compassion for Anthony and quickly began feeling the hatred and anger for Turner that Anthony was feeling.
Anthony is the boy next door who is sweet, nice, and a wuss. Anthony falls in love with Diana and for the first time in his life feels like he belongs. But when things don’t work out with Diana, Anthony loses himself in anger and revenge. The story begins with Anthony plotting his revenge against Turner. And from there the author takes you on a journey with Anthony as he survives the first couple of weeks after the breakup.
I enjoyed reading this book. It is easy to read and will quickly draw you in to this boy's troubles and heartache. In this story the author was able to bring back vivid memories of the teenage years with what could easily be a real life story. This is a good book for anyone who wants a quick read, a few laughs, and some “thank goodness I am not a teenager” moments.
