Almost all songs have a place that they fit into and when I heard the first song Valentine it’s easily heard that this could be a song on numerous commercials and movies. But BM Linx has not put themselves into a hole by only having one good song but instead there are 11 good songs on Black Entertainment. Not all of the songs though would be good for a commercial however they are still good enough to listen to.

Here’s some of the reasons as to why the songs on Black Entertainment are good to listen to. Vocals, beat, rhythm, energy, enjoyment, and instruments, to name a few. This CD has this beat throughout it that made me want to get up and go. Some songs I was wanting to be in my car, other songs I just wanted to be on my feet doing something. With each of the songs there is this energy and vibrancy packed into them that does not take over the song but makes it flow.

I would say that they are a techno band but then I would be wrong. In fact I would be wrong if I tried to say they are any one set genre because BM Linx has mixed a variety of styles into their songs on Black Entertainment. The instruments on Black Entertainment grabbed me right off more so than the vocals did. With keyboards that stand out at certain times or the guitar that sounded like it would fit just right with the 70’s rock bands that are legends today. Now I won’t say that BM Linx are legends or will become legends in music but they have a style that makes their music stand out from most of the bands that I hear today.

Though I liked the instruments the most about Black Entertainment, BM Linx still has some good vocals for the songs being sung by Tony Diodore. While some songs were a little hard to understand on my first listen I found out that on the inside cover to the CD that there are lyrics to some of the songs. Now be prepared to squint because they are small and hard to read, but they are there to help out.  With the unique sound coming from the songs on Black Entertainment, BM Linx shows the world that they not only have talent but they know how to play outside of the popular radio music that’s out there.
