The bands featured are Dead Boys, Johnny Thunders, UK Subs, Germs, Iggy & The Stooges, The Adicts, Buzzcocks, The Exploited, Subhumans, Vice Squad, Generation X, Toy Dolls, Chelsea, X-Ray Spex, 999, Blitz, GBH, Goldblade, and Sham 69. The footage at times is gritty and shaky; but it is live footage of a punk show so what else would you expect. One cool thing is they sometimes show the band performing the same song; but at all different times and ages. At the same time though Generation X is performing a different song than the one that is playing so you are watching them jump around at the wrong parts. I did still enjoy seeing a young Billy Idol. There are interviews with Johnny Thunders, Vice Squad, Generation X, X-Ray Spex, and one with Marky Ramone. Now I know that two of the easiest punk bands to name are the Sex Pistols and The Ramones and that they are on every punk anthology out there; but how can you name this DVD “God Save The Queen” and have an interview with Marky Ramone and not put either band on the DVD? Besides that I just felt this was thrown together quickly to try and cash in on the last few minutes that “punk” is a fad. The problem is anyone that is into it for the fad will not know theses bands and anyone that likes punk probably owns something better already.
