There was a while there that every time I came over he was watching Ice Age and wanted me to sit down and watch it with him. Thanks to him I have probably seen this 20 times easy. It is very cute, the animals are adorable, the story is good, and it is funny. However this has already been released two previous times. The normal standard edition and then a two disc special edition. But with the sequel hitting theaters it is to be expected that one more had to pop out.

Theses are the features that are on both the 2 disc edition and this Super-Cool edition. The trailer, Gone Nutty: Scrat’s Missing Adventure(an animated short), Bunny (an animated short) that has commentary by Chris Wedge, several games, Behind the scenes HBO Special, commentary by John Leguizamo as Sid, mutli-angle animation studies, Scrat’s Promo Spots, commentary by Chris Wedge (director) & Carlos Saldanha (co-director), deleted scenes with optional commentary, an international clip, 6 production featurettes, John Leguizamo finding Sid’s voice, and both wide and full screen. So what is new to be able to call this a “Super-Cool edition”? There is a new “extreme cool view version. This adds fun facts with a behind the scenes video clips. Yep that’s it. So if you already own this but on the 2 disc version save yourself the money. Maybe it can go to seeing the sequel in theaters. If you don’t own it this would be the one to buy. I guess we will all have to learn to wait several years to make sure that they are finished releasing all their super duper special very special editions or have 4 versions of the same movie in our houses.
