RATING: 4.35 (out of 4.00)

While the band slightly mixes up their style on the album I do have to knock points off because on some tracks they don’t venture out far enough to remove themselves from a familiarity that possibly only an experienced ear will acknowledge. Still, their delivery on vocals and instruments is charming.

Orange Days offers eleven great tracks that range from jazz/blues to folk and even dips a little into R&B without abandoning their core sound. Their dynamic is wide enough that they should capture fans from all corners of the music world and I think once they have a huge swell in their following, and this album will do that for them, I’m going to be excited to see what Lex Land offers next. My guess is that it’s going to be genius.

Sounds like:

Fiona Apple

Sondre Lerche

Coldplay

Sixpence None the Richer
