RATING:0.94 (out of 4.00)

Starting off by buying a camera from Circuit City that he plans on returning for the money he and two friends start to plan. And trust me that was about it for interesting. You are then subjected to “home videos” basically as Brian pretty much sits on his lazy ass while his friends make contacts, ask for favors, and set up meetings. He does manage to attend the meetings; but he is just so annoying that you don’t really care.

I felt no attachment to Brian throughout the whole thing and was actually hoping that his dream did not come true. He has lost numerous jobs, is broke, bums money from his parents, scams stores, blows job interviews, and is basically stalking Drew Barrymore. Yet he doesn’t even have the motivation to do it right; if it wasn’t for his friends loaning him their credit cards, faking VIP passes, and doing all the leg work there wouldn’t even be a movie. On top of that you get to listen to him pull the whole motivational speaker crap as he tries to justify this by saying everyone should reach for their dreams. While this is a good message I don’t think it means breaking laws, having a huge ego, pull your ex-girlfriend in on it, and make others work for your dreams. The bonus feature is the filmmaker featurette where you can see Brian’s true colors shine through as he attempts (or should I say his friends attempt) to get it to play at film festivals and sell off the documentary. Quickly though his dreams of fast cash are dashed as huge film companies turn it down. I also just want to add that he had a heads up on most people that would want to try this as he has worked little jobs throughout the industry and pulled some strings to talk to celebrities. Did he meet Drew? Do you really still care? I didn’t and just wanted to turn of this self absorbed, egotistical, pathetic stalker’s journey that they call a movie.
