Now there are some that I would consider indie bands; but ones like Fall Out Boy and Deftones I certainly don’t consider as indie bands. But enough of my knit-picking on to the actual book.
Pretty much it reminded me of those poetry books they put out at the end of the year in high school, the ones where anyone in school could submit and pretty much everything was published. That is what you get here. The randomness, how some have every line rhyming and others are more like short stories. Also with that you get some that are pretty good and some that well just suck. And some people lend more that one or two to the book (Rich Balling with 6, Christopher James Ruff of Kaddisfly with 4). I got an early release of this but there also appears to be at least one sketch included too.
Here are a list of some of the people in the book Meg Frampton (Meg & Dia), Josh Partington (Something Corporate), Ben Jorgensen (Armor For Sleep), Porter McKnight (Atreyu), Shawn Harris (The Matches), Aaron Barrett (Reel Big Fish), Tim McIlrath (Rise Against), and Craig Owens (Chiodos). While this isn’t a stand out book as far as poetry goes it is only around $12 so if you have the first one and enjoyed it or love any of the bands listed above go ahead and check this one out.
