Every time that Jean is dumped she packs up her girls and moves to a different state. Holly, the eldest daughter, is sick of leaving friends and schools so she comes up with a plan to make her mom’s dreams come true and stop moving. Listening to all the advice from her friend’s uncle Holly starts to send her mom flowers, emails, and letters claiming to be a secret admirer and using her friend’s uncle as the image. But as the lies grow Holly realizes that she is only hurting everyone in her path.
The movie starts off as an average romantic comedy with the added bonus of being entertaining to kids as well. As things start to unfold though, there are tons of holes that are completely ignored as they try to quickly wrap everything up in a nice little package. This loses any romance or sweetness that the movie might have had. Special features include a behind the scenes, deleted scenes, outtakes, a look at the clothes, make-up, & hair, and Hilary and Heather talking about being mother/daughter. I really only see this being a cute film for perhaps single mothers and daughters and at most I would suggest renting it for Hilary fans.
