It is Krusty Krab’s anniversary and everyone is preparing for the celebration. But when they are all trapped will Spongebob accidently giveaway the secret recipe to Plankton. The anniversary special cartoon is also interjected with Patchy The Pirate trying to put together a celebration special of his own. He makes phone calls to celebrities (Rosario Dawson, Tina Fey, Will Ferrell, etc), attempts to kidnap Robin Williams, and has Pink ready to perform. But he is missing his guest of honor Spongebob.

“Truth Or Square” and the other 4 episodes are exactly what I have come to expect from Spongebob. He always has fun and gets into mischief; but as the story draws to an end he manages to find a way out. There is some potty humor, goofy situations, and a few mild lessons (“Porous Pockets” Spongebob learns about true friends). I did question having Triumph The Insult Dog as a cameo; but other than that it’s the same Spongebob we have been watching for years.
