and her father who was sheriff accused her friend’s dad of the crime. When she chose to take her father’s side all her friends turned their backs on her and her father lost his job. Now he runs a detective agency and when he is out of town Veronica takes the cases. At school Veronica finds it hard to make any friends but she is never out of mysteries.

I really don’t get what anyone sees in this show. Personally I felt like I was watching a Smallville spin-off about Chloe. Veronica is arrogant, egotistical, and annoying. Her “witty” comebacks are pathetic and if they were used in real situation this girl would be in the hospital on a daily basis. The fads and sayings are outdated, the plot is weak, and the characters are unlikable. Also Veronica is suppose to have realized how mean the popular kids are now and has turned over a new leaf, except ever episode has her talking about the past and looking back on how much fun it was. I also loved the fact that when ever they could they had other characters talking about how hot/smart/strong/brave/etc. she is. Wow if you need side characters to build up your main character you know there is something wrong. This is a show for all those people that still live in a high school world, that thought they were cool in high school while inside knew they weren’t; but in their heads this is what they thought they were . The release is just as bad as the show. First the discs overlap each other in the case causing you to have to take out extra ones to get to the ones you want. Then you get a pathetic 20 extra minutes and an extended pilot. A weak release for a weak show.
