To start off though I will give you the gist of Viva K. There is a female singer that is backed by ‘70’s style band that sometimes adds in a sitar. Now that is not what is painful, I enjoy a good female vocalists and I think in the right hands a sitar can contribute an awesome sound. But neither is the case with this album.

First the vocals are horribly muffled so you can’t even tell if they are good. Then they have mild feedback which will actually hurt your ears here and there and once again keeps you from being able to hear what is going on. Besides all of that if you still somehow find a way to enjoy what you are trying to hear there are only 12 tracks and one is pretty much only random sounds so you are not given much for your money. After sitting through some of the most antagonizing moments of my life I realized that this is what it must have felt like to sit through the auditions for all the bands that didn’t make it on to Lilth Fair.
