When he shows up at his house he discovers John sitting down and his wife and lover dead. With John incarcerated for murder, Matthew slowly starts to lose it. That is until another killer pops up murdering everyone that has something to do with John’s conviction and the only clues are from Sherlock Holmes mysteries. Now Matthew must put the pieces together but they lead him to the one person he doesn’t want them to.
This is your standard cop murder attempt thriller movie. First I have to say long hair on Michael T. Weiss is just wrong. Also the only person that calls the killer the Sherlock Holmes killer is Matthews but he goes around like it is a known fact to everyone. The only reason the killer is given this title is because of a few handwritten notes sometimes with only one word on it left at the scene of the crimes with references to Sherlock. They try to throw you off on who the killer is but it is very obvious. At best this would have made an average made for TV movie. There are no bonus features, no stand out acting, no originality, and no suspense. I don’t even know if Pretender fans will enjoy this sub-par movie.
