'Cake' starring Jennifer Aniston Opens Nationwide Today

The drama Cake is now playing in theaters nationwide after a limited release in December. Jennifer Aniston stars as Claire Simmons, a woman dealing with her own tragedies who becomes infatuated with the suicide of a fellow member of her cronic pain support group, played by Anna Kendrick. As she explores Nina's death, she learns more about her own views on life and death, abandonment and heartbreak, danger and salvation. 

Aniston has been garnering praise for her role in the film, including nominations from the Screen Actors Guild and the Golden Globes. The SAG Awards aires this Sunday, January 25th, where Aniston is up against Felicity Jones (The Theory of Everything), Julianne Moore (Still Alice), Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl), and Reese Witherspoon (Wild) for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role.

Cake also stars Sam Worthington, Adriana Barraza, Mamie Gummer, and Felicity Huffman.
