A.J. Cook will be back on CBS’ Criminal Minds. But for how long?

The actress, who plays Jennifer "JJ" Jareau, has inked a two-year deal to appear on the drama as a series regular beginning next season. Cook will appear in the Season 6 finale airing May 18.

Cook had been let go at the end of last season after her option was not picked up, causing viewers of the hourlong procedural to criticize the decision.

She recently appeared in the final episode for co-star Paget Brewster, who is a lead in NBC’s comedy pilot My Life as an Experiment, along with the first two episodes of the sixth season.

CBS has not officially renewed Criminal Minds for a Season 7.
