"12 Disasters" is a sci-fi movie that takes place in a small mountain town named Cavalry. It's the month of December and Christmas is quickly approaching when some unusual natural disasters suddenly begin to happen killing most of the population. If you thought it was impossible to create a sci-fi movie surrounding Mayan beliefs, a well-known Christmas carol, the number 12, and a natural disasters, you are wrong. Amidst all the chaos, there's an 18-year-old girl that can stop all the madness.
The only good thing about this movie is the music, which was surprisingly good and kept me awake as I was reviewing the movie. Other than that, "12 Disasters" was one big disaster of a movie. The acting was bad, the plot was bad, and the dialogue was even worse. There was an unusual lack of emotion even when their loved ones are dying and being impaled by humongous icicles from the sky or other natural disasters. In addition, to make this movie even less watchable, were the bad special-effects And computer animation that seemed to be done by amateurs. Before reviewing this movie, I never heard of it, but I can see why it was not very popular.
This movie is a total skip and I feel you should not even waste your time bothering with it. The only people this movie would attract are those that enjoy cheesy sci-fi flicks or badly made movies. It was a simple concept that they made complicated and total disaster to watch. For those reasons I am giving this movie an "F-."
