What can I say about A Fine Frenzy that you couldn't figure out by listening to the first few minutes of One Cell In the Sea? Alison Sudol has a very beautiful voice which is captivatingly enhanced by artistic lyrics and a superb orchestration by the players that back her every note. It would be extremely hard to point out the one element of this album that makes it so great. All aspects seem to be of the highest quality. If I had to choose, I would say its Sudol's ability to create a genuine atmosphere in her vocals. Her voice is like a magnifying glass hovering above her lyrics, giving them a definition and feel of such personal emotion, something lacking in many musicians today.

An interesting fact I found about this band is that A Fine Frenzy opened for the reunited Stooges at an Austin Music Festival in 2007. I found that extremely odd considering the very huge differences between the two acts. What is great about this CD is that it works with the bands website giving you access to bonus features like Demo's and video's and the site looks to update every now and then. A plus, especially if your looking for more information or more music.
