“Eureka seems like any other cozy, Pacific Northwest town, but is actually a secret community of geniuses assembled by the government to conduct top-secret research. What they’ve unwittingly created is a place where anything imaginable can happen… and does.”

That is the official Syfy channel description of the show, I put it there because until now I never saw the show and with this being the final episode of the series where everything is wrapped up I would not attempt to try to sum up my theories of 5 seasons from only watching 43 minutes of the finale episode. With that being said I can now get into what I thought about the series finale episode of EUReKA, “Just Another Day”, and don’t worry I’m not going to give away anything (mainly because I have no clue what to give away).
So the show has come to an end, did I enjoy it? Yeah I think I did but not so much as I should have. With not knowing anything about any of the characters, any of the plots, why they were doing what they were doing in this last episode just had me lost throughout the whole thing. Now I’m sure you’re wondering if the final episode delivers what it should, being that it’s the last in the shows 5 year run. Going off of just this one episode I would say yes.

The acting done by all the actors was good, Colin Ferguson as Sheriff Jack Carter has a screen presence that makes you want to like him, which I did. This also goes for all the other actors and their characters, which was surprising that with such a large cast I would enjoy all the characters. More surprising though was seeing Will Wheaton on the show and another guest appearance (which I will not name because I don’t know if his appearance is supposed to be a surprise, which I think it is and it was), but they were enjoyable surprises.

How the show wraps up I would think it will be one that the fans like, I enjoyed it and I know nothing about the show. It really does feel like the show has a good closure where the show seems to end yet leaves with the knowledge of something more. This might not be much to go on but without giving away any plot points it’s what it is. Now the plot is wrote nicely where the show progresses along at a solid pace without living in the previous years main plot points. I’ve seen too many finales that like to drag on the last episode in an attempt to make it sad, happy, and give it closure but fail in doing so because they stay too long on one aspect. With EUReKA’s last episode the writers have done a decent job at giving the show enough emotion, sad, happy, funny, and more, while also giving it some closure that should appease it’s fans.
