Ghost Hunt: Paranormal Encounter at Burlington County Prison

On DVD:

Running Time:
70 Minutes

“Ghost Hunt” was a corny movie.  We’ve heard this story before, a group of folks who are curious about the supernatural world get together to investigate places known to be haunted.  For the purpose to provide a definitive yes, this place is haunted or a no, this place is just old and the house creeks.

Ghost Hunt is supposed to be a documentary but it films in the same manner as Paranormal Activity or The Blair Witch Project.  At first, the audience was confused if those movies were ‘real’ or not.  That is the exact feeling I get from watch Ghost Hunt.  You follow a group of people who visit apparantely the infamous Burlington County Prison where you will find the caretaker saying the old prison is haunted.  The documentary film crew is showed being filmed in the dark and commenting on if a small light flicker on the camera was really a ghost of an old prisoner.  WTF?  Very played out.  This concept has been done over and over again.  In 2012, the most successfully scary, paranormal encountering documentaries are scripted.  I’m just saying.  Sign of the times.
