Resurrection: Unearth (PREVIEW)

What would you do if a deceased family member or friend mysteriously showed up several years later at your front door as if nothing ever happened? That is exactly what happened in Arcadia, Missouri on the TV Show “Resurrection.” United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agent J. Martin Bellamy (Omar Epps) is sent to investigate and figure out why this unusual phenomenon is happening. The show can be seen on ABC every Sunday night at 9pm. Shakefire had a chance to review the show’s second episode, titled “Unearth” before its air date.
I have seen the previews for show and was very curious about “Resurrection” from the very start. The pacing of the show was as slow as I had expected, but the plot twist and revelations in the second episode far exceeded my expectations. The music was very fitting for the show and added a lot of more emotion and impact to the scenes. My only other gripe was the dialogue because it felt a bit disjointed. Some characters sounded a lot more believable than others and the show’s dialogue was the weakest part of the show. However, the show is well presented, but not be the right fit for everyone.
If you have been looking for a show with intrigue and mystery, “Resurrection” is the show for you. It’s easy to follow, but the plot twist will keep you guessing as to what is really going on until the very end. The music was great, but the pacing was a bit slow and the dialogue felt a bit off. Other than that, I am curious to check out a couple more episodes to see what happens and if things improve. However, for those reasons, I am giving this episode a “B.”
