Spider-Man 2.1

Spider-Man 2.1

On DVD:
Tuesday, April 17, 2007
Running Time:
136 Minutes

I am personally not a huge fan of the Spider Man movies; but Spider Man 2 was better than the first.  However this new release is sure to test even the most loyal Spider Man fans limits. So let’s compare this release with previous. This one does have 8 extra minutes of footage added to the movie. There is also “Inside Spider Man” (crew interviews about why things were cut from the original & added in for this version), “With Great Effort Comes Great Recognition” (crew talks about the visuals of the train sequence), “Visual Effects Breakdown” (5 parts), “Multi-Angle Danny Elfman’s Score”, and a Spider Man 3 sneak peek. Then just like the other release you have the pop-up trivia track and commentary.

Cut out though is the blooper reel, four web-isodes, Train music video, “Making The Amazing” documentary, “Hero In Crisis”, “Ock-umentary”, “Interwoven: The Women Of Spider-Man”, “Enter The Web”, and the art gallery. I just don’t understand why they can’t include all of these bonus features on the new release. Just another example of people trying to cash in on fans.
