Chicago Tek

Umbertron is a house /dance DJ and producer from Chicago, IL. He has a debut LP set to be released on February 3rd and it is entitled “Chicago Tek.” His style can be described as a mix of classic Chicago ghetto house, hard house, and juke. There are only 8 tracks on the LP, but I am sure each song will get you moving for the full 36 minutes.
The whole album is perfect for either a workout or a great night at the club. “Chicago Tek” has great variety and the songs are the perfect length to keep you attention from the beginning to the end. The instrumentals are ground shaking and pulse pounding to get the rest of your body feeling like it’s on a dance floor. Umbertron is a creative genius with a bright future ahead of him. My favorite songs were “bussdown” and “U Wurkout.” I thought this was a great dance album and cannot wait to see what Umbertron comes out with next.
Umbertron does everything right when the other DJs get it wrong. The 20+ minute songs from other house DJs drive me crazy and get repetitive. He mixes it up on every song and keeps it short and sweet to keep the party going. His beats and his songs were unique and creative, but still give people what they want. For those reasons, I am giving “Chicago Tek” an “A.”
