With as much talent as Keller Williams has unleashing its awesome power onto a kids album can only be compared to Van Gough entering a kindergarten painting competition. The album is filled with so many great songs from the Paul Simon sounding Keep It On The Paper to the scat infused Soakie Von Soakerman parents might find themselves listening to this album without the presence of their children. I may have lost count, somewhere around 8 or 9 so far, but I've listened to this album several times and everytime I grasp some new aspect of the album that makes it greater every time. Seriously infectious.

Keller Williams injects his country/bluegrass influence into his music here from his twangy guitar to his southern accent which is exceptionally prominent on My Neighbor Is Happy Again and Grandma’s Feather Bed, a cowbell powered tune, as well as being scattered throughout. While I totally endorse this album there are a few instances on the album you should be warned about. On My Neighbor Is Happy Again Williams talks about his goat and his goat’s friend going behind the barn and now he has three goats. Funny and cute but maybe not the parent child conversation you want to have with a younger child. On Lucy Lawcy (a turkey) Williams makes mention of Lucy and her lover. Again maybe not a conversation you want to have with your younger children. Still I can’t help but fall in love with this well made album that features some masterful guitar work, amazing harmonizing, and a cute kid to boot singing along with Williams on the infectious Horseback Rider, Hey Little Baby, and The Fastest Song In The World. Not since Mr. Nicky’s Rattlesnakes For Breakfast have I been so impressed with an album geared towards children. Definitely a must own, children or not. Enjoy.

Keller Williams (also known as K-Dub and the Jam-Man) is a one man jam band from Fredericksburg, Virginia. A self-taught, percussive, and rhythmic musician, Keller plays mainly on acoustic guitars while looping other instruments with a Gibson Echoplex Delay system. ~ Last.fm Bio
