Andi and Bruce are two orphans who have moved from house to house, never really having a family except for each other and a dog, Friday, who they have had since he was a pup. After Friday goes missing and they find him at the local pound, they see how badly the other dogs are being treated and want to do something about it. Thus, the hotel for dogs was born.

Emma Roberts and Jake T. Austin star in this Nickelodean/Dreamworks production. Other big names include Don Cheadle and Lisa Kudrow as well. Hotel for Dogs is definitely an awww movie. There are those moments where you simply go, 'awwww.' By far, the best actors in the film are the dogs themselves. Some of the stunts they do are extraordinary and the camera is able to capture every moment. That being said, I was somewhat disappointed with their human counterparts. I couldn't get past the fact that Emma Roberts looks and acts just like Miley Cyrus. Throw in Johnny Simmons and it looks like you're watching a scene out of High School Musical. Don Cheadle was alright. His big speech near the end seemed like a ploy for more screen time than anything.

As far as family movies go, this is one that'll garner smiles and laughs from everyone. At times, things can drag on but the dogs are able to steal the show from everyone around. Their interactions with the actors gives them more human qualities and you can tell just from their facial expressions exactly what they're thinking. If your looking for something to see with the kids, I would recommend Hotel for Dogs. It has that overall feel good sensation.

Hotel for Dogs

My friend and I went to see this movie today in Nashville. What a great movie!! We laughed a lot and almost cried a few times too. Definitely a movie worth going to see.

Hotel for Dogs

I saw this at a screening in Nashville and it is very cute. I laughed and was in awe of the pups. The director was at the screening and gave us a little insight that 60% of the dogs used int he movie were rescue dogs. I think the movie has a great message about adopting dogs.

Hotel for Dogs

That was a good movie. Kept me in stitches. I loved it. Great fun for the whole family. Dogs, dogs, and more dogs. What could be better.
