Show: Casshern Sins Season/Volume: Part 2 Genre: Anime Starring: Eric Vale, Trina Nishimura, Jerry Russell, Paul Slavens Studio: Funimation Runtime: 288 minutes Release Date: August 17, 2010 Format: DVD Discs: 2 Rating: ( )Grade: A I've already reviewed Part 1 of Casshern Sins and talked about the differences between it and the original anime. In case you don't feel like clicking on the link and reading the review for yourself, here's a brief recap. It's quite awesome. Part 2 continues with the rest of the series as Casshern is now searching for someone who is claiming to be the deceased Luna he himself killed. He's on a pilgrimage of sorts to see if the rumors are true and if she can indeed save robots from the Ruin. We'll also get to finally meet the main antagonist and instigator of this series of events; Braiking Boss. The dude sorta reminds me of Sigma from the Mega Man X series. The majority of Part 2 is similar to Part 1 such as the robot apocalypse, Casshern's search for answers, and the spectacular battles. If you like Casshern or it's reboot with Sins, you will no doubt like Part 2. It's a satisfying end to a great franchise but you can't help but want more. Thankfully, there's a live-action film, original series, and ongoing manga to keep you busy. |
